 What happens if the airline does not respond?

If after a reasonable period of time since we process the claim the airline does not respond, it is understood that the claim has been dismissed by negative silence. (More than 2 months).

 Is it possible for the airline to contact me directly after I have made the claim through Airning?

Sometimes, once the companies receive the claims we have made, some take the opportunity to contact you directly, trying to persuade you to accept a smaller amount of money, or offering you discount vouchers or exchanges for other flights.

The airline knows that how you have authorized us to act on your behalf must pass through us, but sometimes taking advantage of having your data, and have captured your interest will try to convince you by offering something less and try to flood as much as possible any type of payment, doing much longer and tedious process and delegitimizing our work.

If this happens, please contact us as soon as possible. Airlines are required by law to respect compensation amounts, but if they can, they will try to save as much as they can.

 Is it possible that the airline is wrong and rejects the claim being valid?

Airlines know exactly the reasons for delays and cancellations, and will try by all means to excuse themselves on reasons such as weather or strikes so as not to have to compensate those passengers who have suffered.

 How long does it take to claim? How long does the process take?

By Airning's policy, when a claim already has all the elements for us to prepare the claim, the Legal Department must process it within a maximum period of one week.

However, sometimes on certain occasions because of high volume of claims it may be that a certain claim is late in being processed. Whenever we submit a claim, you receive an automatic notification, so you will know at all times when your claim has been processed.

Regarding the total time of the process, it depends on many factors, such as the type of airline, its internal policies, and what they take in processing the claim. Some take longer, some less, we always try to accelerate the process as much as possible.

Since the customer contacts us until the airline makes the payment of the compensation once the claim has been accepted can spend between 3 to 6 months maximum.

 What happens if the airline denies my claim?

If the airline denies the claim nothing happens, at Airning we will always try to fight for your case, so we will follow other ways to get the compensation.

We will process the claim before an international agency that is in charge of the fulfillment of the obligations of the airline. The only thing that will imply will be a little longer since the term increases significantly, but nor would it have costs for the client.

 I am not an EU citizen, neither I live in an EU country. Does this affect my claim?

The nationality is totally indifferent to the claim. You do not have to be from the European Union to be able to apply for the claim nor to live in a member state of the European Union.

 How long do I have margin to make the claim after having suffered the delay or cancellation?

You can make your claim for flights made in the last 5 years.
